OMG and WTF

TELL ME “IT’S NOT SO … NOT GOD, CONSTITUTIONALITY, DIALOGUE, AND THE FOURTH ESTATE … ALL DEAD.”
Notice the excellent tongue extension and the Doc's obvious Pincer Control ... Thumb to Fourth Finger!
Where Are the Godly when I Need Them?
It was tough enough when I learned that the Evangelicals, other Church-going Christians and many religious Jews were polling heavily toward Trump. I couldn’t understand how that could be. His stances seemed to me to be diametrically opposed to the Gospels as I understood them. The kindness, the recommended other-cheek, the modesty, the call for sexual propriety even in one’s mind, the speaking of truths, the  choice of God over Money, … I could go on. Just the early chapters of Matthew (say, 1-6) would, on the face of it, seem to disqualify Mr. Trump in the eyes of religious Christians.
And among the religious Jews? The repeated call in the Old Testament to be kind to the Stranger living in your midst … the demand not to mock the disabled … the standard that should a leader be required, he not get lost in too many possessions or too many women and that he anoint himself by immersion in the writing and understanding of the complete law, lest he become the equivalent of an idolater (Sanh. 11) …. these and other matters would seem to be disqualifying in the case of Trump.

Anybody See the Media?
I am pleased to see twitches and little movements in the casket … that is, I do occasionally hear a journalist call people out on their lies and the Press repeatedly does point out that “Hillary has a problem with trustworthiness.” Now, by the way, that’s short for “On polls carried out after 100’s of hours of congressional committees checking into the Clintons dealings without ever finding her guilty of anything but with repeated claims that she had this is untrustworthiness problem, those polls reflect that the people think she has a problem with being trusted.” With Trump, the continued coverage of a candidate who has repeatedly spoken on uncorroborated matters and laid charges by invoking the “I’ve heard it said” and “I have people who know who are saying.” Are members of the media so caught up in selling advertisement that the Fourth Estate that E. Burke thought protective of all our freedoms has decided to sit this one out? Journalists, as a group, you’re a tremendous disappointment.

Oh, and on the Matter of Constitutionality or Legality
Is anybody going to take Kurt Eichenwald’s piece in Newsweek seriously? Is the Supreme Court gonna sit this one out, too. There is, from Eichenwald’s discoveries, from the fact that Trump’s Federal Disclosures apparently did not list these potential conflicts, from Trump’s claim that the whole problem is solved by his turning control of these potential conflicts over to his children, … there is a question, to my way of thinking, of whether it is Kosher to elect a President who is already engaged in international business holdings and deals-in-progress with allies of foreign governments. And the man won’t turn over extant Tax Returns. Has the World gone Mad or is Eichenwald thoroughly misrepresenting the truth … in which case, why is the Master of Threatening Lawsuits suddenly silent? OMG and WTF all put together! And it’s the so-called Constitutionalists who are supporting his candidacy. Damn … the Speaker of the House suddenly after this Eichenwald piece would like to see those Tax Returns, as well, and I suppose information on these international partnerships with Pakistanis and Sheiks from the Gulf and Turkish Sunnis.
Thank you, Mr. Eichenwald and Mr. Ryan, too.

Now, On the Matter of Dialogue
Funny to hear the Press jumping on Colin Powell’s comments about Secretary Clinton’s hubris. Hubris is one thing but out and out arrogance is another. Does Trump feel it necessary to respond to Eichenwald’s arguments? Do his followers? Does Trump feel any necessity to own up to the Birther Bullshit? “I’m not ready to talk about that” or some such was his reply to Costa. God. I wish Costa had stood up and said: “Well, Mr. Trump, I’m not ready to talk to you.”
I’ve tried straight dialoguing with Trump’s Not-so-Merry Pranksters. Had one success with an Innkeeper in Vermont. Otherwise, nothing more than Hillary this and Hillary that. I’ve been kicked off multiple listservs, too. Lucky me!
And Herr Drumpf never SEEMS TO BE READY, himself, to disclose anything:  Tax Returns, Health Information, Plans on Dealing with Isis, Where his Birther Stuff Arises, Where he saw the Jersey City Tapes, How He’ll Pay for This or That, What He Alone Knows that Makes Eichenwald’s Arguments Moot, How He Grew from 6’2” to 6’3” Just in Time to Go Below Obesity on the Charts, How he Goes into a Christian Church to Attack Another Human Being in Front of God, Man, and the Pastor whom He Trivializes … Never mind how he withholds a Note from a Shrink to Explain His apparently Erratic Behaviors. I’d really like to read that one!

A Note from Doc Bornstein might do the trick?
What say, ye, Doc? Something like:
“Donald is the Sanest Man ever to Run for Prez, U-Bet!”
Jeez … What to say?
The Media’s continued coverage of this Man sort of assumes:
TRUMP IS READY FOR PRIME TIME.

This Citizen OBVIOUSLY DISAGREES
